Original Art: Sports Collectibles, Player Autographed

Marta Huszar is a professional graphic designer
and educator. In 1990 while working at Elle magazine
in New York City she created a drawing collection
of hall of fame and prominent players. The works of art
are player autographed. These were secured in person
at sports conventions in the city and surrounding area.
Many of the players were photographed as they signed
their portraits. These photographs are available to
document autograph authentication.
The work is color pastel and ink drawing with base
drawing done in pencil on 18”x24” pastel paper
throughout the year of 1990.

Great FREE resources for photography, video and audio projects.

Cambridge in Colour

Sean McHugh very generously offers his expertise in taking and editing phenomenal images. His work is stunning, and I appreciate how much care he takes to help you take a good solid photograph in the first place, so your editing serves to simply enhance what you've already got. He's got mouseover functions in place in the tutorials, so you can see exactly what the effects are on a given image. I started using this resource in design school and have continued to visit the site from time to time when I have a client shoot coming up and need to try some things out, or get help on lighting tips, etc.

Some of the tutorial subjects include:
  • Guide to Image Sharpening
  • Macro Lenses: Magnification & Effective F-Stop (advanced)
  • Using Wide Angle Lenses
  • How to Calibrate Your Monitor for Photography
  • Camera Lenses: Focal Length & Aperture
  • Camera Exposure: Aperture, ISO & Shutter Speed
  • Understanding Depth of Field
  • Understanding Histograms: Tones & Contrast
There is also a support forum.

Justine Jablonska

One of my favorite new writers is breaking ground in Washington D.C. In April of this year, her piece on the historic meeting between Russian and Polish leaders was picked up by the Washington Post. This happened while still in her Journalism Masters program [at Medill], and this was her first week in town, as her final quarter was set in Washington D.C.

She is passionate about her subjects and writes from an objective but thoughtful point of view—a difficult balance for any journalist.
